POSITION: Grants Marketing Assistant
Callan Park Festival is celebrating Mental Health on Sunday, 1st May 2011 by honouring mental health consumers, their carers, family, friends and the community that supports them.
We are looking for a grants marketing assistant to work with the Sponsorship Marketing Directors. This role will see you working alongside the Sponsorship Marketing Directors to assist them to achieve specific tasks. This is suitable for someone studying a related area in marketing or law as both areas correlate to the role.

TASKS INCLUDE:
• Research and analyse grants available for Callan Park Festival;
• Understanding the conditions that Utopia Research Institute must comply with in relation to the grants we apply for;
• Review and co-approve with the Sponsorship Marketing Directors, grants that Utopia Research Institute are applying for;
• Monitor the grants that URI have received
• Communicate and collaborate with the Donations Department, in regards to Grants received
QUALITIES NEEDED:
• Multi-tasking ability;
• Be a fast learner with experience in a related marketing or legal field;
• Great oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and with a team; and
• Ability to think both creatively and logically.
• Available at least ten hours a week.
As this is a Volunteer Internship, no payment will be awarded, but letters of recommendation from supervisors will be given. We will also acknowledge your name before and permanently after the festival on our volunteer honour role on the website.
You will gain opportunities to enhance a resume with charity work, gain invaluable marketing and leadership experience and work in an environment where experienced people are volunteering for an excellent cause.
This position is flexible, as we are an Eco-Friendly Institute. Our interns communicate and work via the web through our Gmail and Skype. This position does require that you have web access, a mobile and if possible, a landline. You may be required to attend some (but not all) meetings. Meetings will be held at various locations, usually in university’s or the CBD.
You will also gain opportunities to work in other areas of the organisation depending on your skill sets, thus you may get to work in other departments if tasks are available for you to do. You will gain new skills and experiences.
You may volunteer on the day of the festival, but, it is not required in order to hold this position.
